Pediatric Occupational Therapy Services Include:

Early Intervention Services (On-Site and Home-Based)- Birth through Three Years
– Evaluations (Supplemental) and Treatments
– For these services please call Suffolk County Department of Health Early Intervention Program – 631-853-8661
– We will be happy to assist you with the referral process.

Pre-School Services (On-Site and Home-Based)- Three Years through Five Years
– If your preschooler is determined to be eligible for Occupational Therapy Related Services through The Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE), The Therapy SPOT, PLLC can provide these services through Suffolk County.
– Please call your school district or our office (631-582-0088) for more information with regard to eligibility for services through this program.

School Related Services (On-Site and School-Based)- Kindergarten through 12th Grade
– We currently have contracts with a number of School Districts in Suffolk County to provide treatment and evaluations.
– At the request and authorization of your School District, we can also provide impartial Occupational Therapy School Based Evaluations
– Therapeutic Groups for Handwriting and Fine Motor Skill Development are available in the clinic and can be offered to your school district.

Evaluations
Children are evaluated with a doctor’s prescription, during their initial visit using standardized measures of function (when appropriate) and reevaluated periodically to monitor progress. Pediatric Occupational Therapists at The Therapy SPOT, PLLC are versed in the use of the following objective tools and measurements.
